Words from Jack Jack: 2011 (well said)
jackcity:
Gonna be a good year if GOD says the same. For those who aren’t able to see it, you live through us all. I pray that EVERYONE has a safe night, and that we can be peaceful tonight wherever we are. It’s a shot in the dark, but I guess when u have faith you really don’t have to SEE it do you?
12. If you could trade places with anyone for one...
Oprah! She seems to be able to do whatever she wants, whenever and however she wants. I wonder how that life would be. I guess she just got it like that.
11. Do you feel protective over someone?
I tend to be protective of those who have a place in my heart. Sometimes it just a sincere concern, other times it can come off as jealousy. I try my best to ensure that my loved ones are respected and treated as they should be. So if I ever come off as being touchy, extra protective or jealous, it’s usually because I care.

Methods of stretching natural hair without direct heat
Heat damage can leave hair dry, brittle, and can cause breakage and split ends. A healthier option would be to limit the usage of direct heat or heat styling tools that come into contact with your hair. However you may desire to stretch your hair being that many natural women suffer from shrinkage. Luckily there are...
Natural Sisters Stick Together →
Anybody that knows me knows that I have a “helluva lot” of hair. This image shows teamwork at it’s finest!
S/O to my sisters Faith (@smartergirl1913) and Tamara from naturalhairrules.tumblr.com (@naturalhairrule) for helping a Sista out.
10. Did you have a good day or a bad day? Where do...
Today was a good day. I went to visit one of my closest homegirls Tanesha and her wonderful family. We hadn’t seen each other in over two years and we were able to catch up on a little bit of everything. She’s an inspiration to me and she is the perfect mother and wife.
The defining moment was our game of Phase 10. Even though I didn’t win (thanks alot Seth), it was still...

Great Perspective on Natural Hair
deeninetythree:
If going natural is a trend, it’s a good one and I don’t see why people are thinking it’s a negative thing. I didn’t go natural as a trend, I went for my own personal reasons but I think it’s a good trend to follow. Black women should to learn to embrace their hair anyways. Our hair is sorta like our crown anyway, we take pride and time in it.
One widespread theory on the reason God gave black people our hair in the first...

Staying with my great great aunts Edith and Dollie while my mother was at work…I loved staying with them all through the week. They would always cook anything that I wanted…primarily chicken, corn and pancakes which I am addicted to still at this very moment.
My Aunt Edith is still living and is now 102 years old and still kicking. Such a blessings!
7. Think of the last person you hugged. What would...
Hugged my Daddy before he went to sleep tonight. He’s been such a force in my life, helping mold me into the woman that I am along with my Mama. Even though he didn’t have to step in as the father figure in my life, he did anyway and I love him unconditionally.
If he vanished, I would be devastated and lost. He helps keep us together as a family, he’s the glue that helps us...
Why?
Why is it that we let things that truly don’t even matter bother us? I ask myself this because I constantly let things or people that I see get under my skin that aren’t even important. Does anyone have an answer to this?
I’ve really gotta do better. #imjustsaying

Over the last month, I won’t go into specific details, but I’ve had doubts within myself and my faith has been tested. I’ve wondered “why me”, as many of us do as young adults. I’ve dealt with struggle and BS that has been unneccessary in my eyes.
Through all of this, though it wasn’t easy, God has stepped in and basically “made a way outta no...

All This Love - El Debarge
I’ve had some problems, and no one could seem to solve them.
But you found the answers, and told me to take a chance…
Y’all know the rest. Beautiful song, classic that describes me right now.
4. What do you think it means to be in love?
In my opinion, to be in love is:
to not be selfish
to have a geniune respect for another being
to feel a void in your life when they are not there
to know their thoughts, their dreams, their aspirations
to tell the truth, even when it hurts
to care enough to tell the truth, even when you know what the end result will lead to
to give more than to take
to know which buttons to not push, and...
3. Where have you been spending your time lately?...
Lately my time has been spent more so with myself. I’m in a growing phase of life where things are beginning to change, and I’m recognizing that. New phases of my life are starting to take place and in order to prepare myself for that, I have to distance myself from others and foolishness. I have a very tight inner circle and don’t feel the need to have others disturb the...
